The Where – Oh that’s easy: everywhere!
A good marketer knows how to find his prey. While it’s easy to make the mistake of being everywhere and copy-pasting your posts and updates all over the social media galaxy, the trick is aiming well and shooting the right arrows.
Placing (remember the fourth P?) your news, ads and services on the right channels is crucial to getting the most of your digital marketing strategy. Talking to empty rooms, offering the wrong product to the wrong audience and even investing in ads to get to a broader audience, on a platform where they do not exist, is just plain madness.
The keyword here is research. So just as in The Four P’s of Marketing, you need research to find out the answers to them four questions.
The How – Oh, you wish…
- Product – Make sure your product is something the market wants and needs. Try to give your potential customers the services they require in order to accompany your product with a perfect customer experience.
- Price – The market is saturated with places where you can find almost anything, wether it’s Amazon, eBay, Etsy, AliBaba, Pinterest or a million online stores. Make sure you stand with your competition and not behind them.
- Promotion – Digital advertising is a playground, nowadays. Facebook being the main war zone, having the most info about its
productsusers. The trick is to create ads that attract the right attention and… - Place – …placing them on the right platforms. Information is easy to come by, today, and a little research will go a long way. Verifying your potential customers are where you’re investing your advertising budget is crucial.
