3. Ride trends, act fast and speak to their hearts

Twitter, the fastest moving social media platform out there, has got riding trends to perfection. With their Trending Topic section being one of the first things you see on your screen, it’s easy to know what’s hot and even easier to interact with.

Lately, YouTube has come out with an interesting on the rise section with their new Trending Tab. Basically letting us know what’s going to be a potential viral video.

Smart media makers are creating content based on trending topics and thus are easily resulting in searches, and if the content is good, they might even go viral. Two high profile players adopting this strategy are Budweiser with the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Champions video made on the fly (according to who won).
