Looking for the best social media strategy

Can be quite difficult, since there are so many variables and issues rising each and every time you’re sitting down to think about your social media strategy.

So tell me, doctor smarty pockets, what is the best social media strategy ever?

Hold your horses! Before diving into the much guarded secret of social media success, I’m gonna reveal you a secret, many business owners fail to understand.

Social media is not your free advertising channel.

The meaning of this sentence is quite clear: You are not supposed to fill your social media pages with product or service advertising, completely ignoring the social aspect of social media.

If there’s one thing that people generally hate, that’s adverts (except for SuperBowl ads, I guess).  So rest assured absolutely nobody will voluntarily follow your social media channels just in order to receive ads to their private feeds.

The common metaphor for this is when you go to a networking event and all you do is walk around, grab random people and talk only about yourself. That’s a very poor way to network and even worse way to advertise your services. Nobody want’s to connect or work with a self centered, pushy businessman.
